Obama OKs airstrikes ‘if necessary' on rebels in Iraq | |

August 08, 2014 President Barack Obama said tonight he approved targeted airstrikes "if necessary" against rebels in Iraq. He also approved airdrops of humanitarian supplies to thousands of religious minorities in Iraq who are under siege from the Islamic militants, he said.
