Old Vernon Hills YMCA to show new look Saturday | |

November 07, 2013 About this time last year, discussions about the imminent demise of the YMCA in Vernon Hills were fast and furious after the organization, citing substantial deficits, announced it would close the facility. The village stepped in with a $2 million low interest loan to the Vernon Hills Park District to acquire the property and building.
