Ori’Zaba’s Expands Company with New Area Developer Franchisee | |

January 03, 2022 The restaurant chain sold three corporate Las Vegas locations to John Alam and Usama Khan who will also start additional franchise locations in the area. LAS VEGAS – Fast-casual Mexican chain Ori’Zaba’s Scratch Mexican Grill has announced a new area developer franchisee in the Las Vegas market. The restaurant chain has partnered with new franchisees John Alam and Usama Khan, Ori’Zaba’s first Area Developers. The duo purchased three Ori’Zaba’s corporate store locations in Las Vegas. In addition, they have also committed to build two new franchise locations in Las Vegas over the next three years. Astute Brands, Ori’Zaba’s parent company, CEO Kori McClurg said, “We are delighted to bring Alam and Khan into the Ori’Zaba’s family. Their experience, enthusiasm and knowledge will be a great addition to our growing Las Vegas market.” Alam and Khan chose to purchase the existing stores because the experience and capabilities of the existing staff will help ensure the franchise’s success and future growth. The duo plan to retain the talented Ori’Zaba’s teams at the Las Vegas locations. Alam and Usama are experienced franchisees and have exclusive rights to own Sonic franchises in Las Vegas.
