Palatine man charged in ‘one punch' killing appears in court | |

July 31, 2014 A Cook County judge on Wednesday left in place the $2 million bail for a Palatine man accused of throwing an unprovoked punch that fatally injured a 26-year-old man during a July 18 dispute outside a bar. Michael Platt, 35, appeared in court for the first time since authorities filed a first-degree murder charge against him alleging he killed Ryan Flannigan with a punch thrown during the altercation in downtown Palatine.
