May 28, 2014

Authorities said Wednesday a 35-year-old Carpentersville man was the victim in a crash caused by a parolee fleeing Elgin police. Miguel A. Tellez, 35, of the 1800 block of Endicott Circle, was killed late Tuesday afternoon when his Mazda MPV was struck at Jefferson and Liberty streets. Police say Steven Luellen, 34, of Elgin, ran a stop sign and slammed into Tellez's minivan.
