Protesters stage sit-in over Wauconda 911 outsourcing | |

February 16, 2014 Opponents of a proposal to shut down Wauconda's 911 center and outsource dispatching staged a sit-in at the police department Saturday. The cost-cutting plan was announced late last week. "There's no asking or caring about what the residents and voters want," said Monica Knigge, one of the protestors and wife of the former mayor.
