Ronald McDonald House of Tampa Charity Event, “Ride with Santa & Smitty” | |

December 16, 2022 The Event date is Saturday, December 17th from 10 AM to 5PM at The Ronald McDonald House (next to Tampa General Hospital), located at 35 Columbia Dr. Tampa, Florida. Harley Davidson of Tampa is proud to announce this year’s “Ride with Santa & Smitty,” event to benefit the Ronald McDonald House as well as raise awareness. H-D of Tampa’s General Manager Gary “Smitty” Smith, is going all out this year to bring holiday cheer to children and their families in our community. The Event date is Saturday, December 17th from 10 AM to 5PM at The Ronald McDonald House (next to Tampa General Hospital), located at 35 Columbia Dr. Tampa, Florida. The ride includes decorated bikes, a gift from Harley-Davidson of Tampa for one lucky rider, gifts from riders to a very worthy cause, and holiday festivities at Harley-Davidson of Tampa during the day. Participants (all are welcome) should bring one or more Items listed below to donate to the Ronald McDonald House: - Un-opened toys for boys and girls - Sensory toys for small children - Outdoor toys and games - New Blankets - New Stuff Animals - Arts and Crafts Materials - Electronics - Food Items (Non-Perishable, Beef Jerky, KIND Bars, Juice Boxes, Cases of Bottled Water, Canned goods, etc.) - Paper products, meal prep containers with clear lids, Disposable Cutlery etc. - Laundry Detergent Your donation helps RMHC families feel at home. Even when they can't be. RMHC programs provide comfort, care and support for families with sick children when it’s needed most. Harley-Davidson of Tampa begins the event with a bike decoration contest. Bikes decorated for the season can enter to win a $150 Harley-Davidson gift card from Harley-Davidson of Tampa. Judging will start at 09:00. The winner will be announced before KSU at 10:00. (Riders are recommended to come to the store at 8:30 AM) The ride will be a quick jaunt from Harley-Davidson of Tampa to Davis Islands for a visit to the Ronald McDonald House adjacent to Tampa General Hospital. Riders will meet the Ronald McDonald House staff and deliver gifts to support the families that have a need to reside in the Ronald McDonald House. The Ride returns to Harley-Davidson of Tampa to enjoy many more seasonal festivities during the day. Vendor Village, Pictures with Santa, Performances by the School of Rock, Free Cookies, and Free Hot Cocoa and Cider. Stick around and join the annual Cigar City HOG Christmas Lights Ride in the evening. The Ride with Santa & Smitty begins at Harley-Davidson of Tampa located at 6920 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL Kick Stands Up (Ride Out Time): 10AM to head to the Ronald McDonald House. In addition to items donated, The Ronald McDonald House of Tampa is also accepting monetary donations.
