December 06, 2014 When Bears GM Phil Emery took over three years ago, he said his goal was providing Chicago "consistent winners." Just under three years into a five-year contract, and having said something similar many times since, Bears fans hear the constant beep of a backhoe moving the wrong direction, gouging trenches in the turf as it grinds through another vanishing season.
