Schaumburg plane crash kills Chicago pilot

A 66-year-old Chicago pilot died Monday afternoon after his single-engine plane spiraled to the ground shortly after takeoff from the Schaumburg Airport. William Borgstrom of the 1300 block of West Columbia Avenue in Chicago was pronounced dead at the scene after his two-seat 1946 Luscombe, which he was flying alone, went down at 3:30 p.m.
