Schumer, Former Governor Paterson Join In Decrying Human Rights Violation Of U.s. Citizen Jacob Ostreicher, Detained For More Than A Year

Politicians Join Hikind In Decrying Human Rights Violations Of Jacob Ostreicher.

A Press Confrence organized by Dov Hikind was held in NYC today near the Bolivian mission to the UN to voice frustration and outrage of an innocent man held in a Bolivian prison for a year. Jacob Ostreicher, a local Brooklyn businessman, has been jailed in Bolivia on the suspicion of money laundering but it's been a year since his arrest and he has not been charged with any wrong doing. Speaking at the press conference were Freeda Schwartz (Jacob's sister), Miriam Ungar (Jacob's wife), Assemblyman Dov Hikind and Senator Charles Schumer.

Also in attendance today were NYS Minority Leader John Sampson, NYS Senator Eric Adams, NYS Assemblywoman Rhoda Jacobs, NYS Assemblyman Alan Maisel, NYS Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein, NY Councilman Dr. Mathieu Eugene, Councilwoman Leticia James, NY City Councilman Brad Lander, NY Councilman David Greenfield, Chairman of Brooklyn Community Board 12 Yidel Perlstein, and District Manager of Brooklyn Community Board 12 Wolf Sender
