Snowstorm forces airlines to scrap Chicago flights

December 14, 2013

Airlines have canceled nearly 100 flights out of Chicago's two airports because of a snowstorm that is reducing visibility. The Chicago area was forecast to get 3 to 6 inches of snow by late Saturday afternoon. Road conditions around the area varied, with major thoroughfares generally in good shape, but side roads in some areas very slippery. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory until 6 p.m.
