Space Programs' Impact on Economy

“The effect (of space programs) on the economy has been colossal,” Dr Jeremy Curtis, head of education at the UK Space Agency, told CNBC. Citing various examples from non-stick pans to robotics, he said: “a lot of the best developments in carbon fiber technology were developed for space, because it is so expensive to launch things into space.”
