State Sen. Schmidt requests change in protection order | |

August 15, 2012 State Sen. Suzi Schmidt is asking that the order of protection against her be modified so she can be allowed to care for an elderly neighbor recovering from hip surgery. However, defense attorney David Del Re of Waukegan said allowing Schmidt access to the neighbor's home would put Schmidt directly across the street from the victims she allegedly stalked and harassed prior to her June arrest.
