Struggling suburbanites turn to scrap metal for money | |

October 07, 2011 Alyce Dunn has been collecting scrap metal to sell to recycling centers for nearly 25 years. Her business card reads "Alyce the Garbologist." Usually she travels within Kane County but goes as far north as southern Wisconsin to make her profit, taking calls from regular customers, monitoring the garbage bins where she has exclusive access, and dropping off business cards.
