June 24, 2011 Elmhurst Memorial Hospital's new $450 million main campus opening June 25 is one of the first big hospital projects to be completed since the economy hit the skids. Two new hospitals are proposed for McHenry County, and private-room additions and outpatient clinics are going up all over the suburbs.
