The Most Anticipated African Retail Banking Conference Commences Today

As Africa's key challenges in retail banking lie within creating loyalty programs, exploring new opportunities for client service and serving the diversified population of the region; the 4th Retail Banking Africa 2012 which is taking place at Hyatt Regency, is articulating an industrial roadmap with emphasis on mobile financial services, means of electronic payments.

The summit is covering over 21 knowledge-sharing sessions, 6 intriguing panel discussions, relevant case studies and networking opportunities with prominent industry professionals; this conference is presenting the african retail banking sector with strategies for a brighter future.

Mohamed Saloojee, Consumer Finance Speacialist, is chairing this conference with an opening speech on Africa Retail Banking - The New Order, discussing the Pan-Africa perspective of the existing size of consumer financing products and services. Mohamed Saloojee, a consumer finance specialist will moderate the Guru Panel to emphasise the opportunities that are lined up in retail product development. He will be joined by panelists including Ashish Bhugra - Citibank NA, Kevin Carty - FEXcO Merchant Services, Nabeel Malik - First city Monument Bank Plc, Sandeep Sharma - Fina Bank, Brian Timothy Quarrie - Network International and Gustav Vermaas - Standard Bank Africa.

Day two will begin with a Panel Discussion titled Protecting the consumer's Interest in African Retail Banking. Industry leading speakers from African Banking Corporation, ITS, Standard Bank of South Africa, First National Bank, and JD Group will address sessions on social banking, electronic finance, role of technology, telecom, and hospitality on retail banking sector.
