Thunderstorms to increase in intensity this afternoon, overnight | |

April 17, 2013 Showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase in both intensity and coverage this afternoon and overnight, with some areas seeing as many as 4 inches of rain, according to the National Weather Service. "We're already seeing the leading edge move in," meteorologist Ed Fenelon said Wednesday morning. "There's a good flow of gulf moisture heading northward, which is causing the trend."
