UPDATE 1-Canada's BCE posts higher-than-expected profit | |

August 05, 2016 Aug 4- BCE Inc, Canada's largest telecommunications company, reported a higher-than-expected quarterly profit as it added customers and earned more per subscriber in its wireless business. Montreal- based BCE agreed to buy Manitoba Telecom Services Inc for about C $3.1 billion in May to expand its services in the western Canadian province.
