September 17, 2013 The one identified suspect so far in the Washington Navy Yard mass shooting received his military training at Great Lakes Naval Station near North Chicago. Aaron Alexis, 34, enlisted in the Navy on May 5, 2007. He graduated from boot camp July 10, 2007.
