'We treat people like people': Small church near St. Charles serves meals for homeless | |

November 26, 2021 Most large-scale Thanksgiving Day community dinners -- a regular thing before the pandemic, put on by churches, charities and community groups -- still haven't returned to the suburbs. But in a tiny church sanctuary near St. Charles Thursday afternoon, strangers and friends shared food, faith and fellowship as they have here every year since 2008.
