Why this year's Gay Pride Parade is even more festive | |

June 30, 2014 As many as 1 million people were expected to pack Chicago streets Sunday for the first Gay Pride Parade since Illinois legalized gay marriage last month. Many who came to the North Side early to grab a good spot along the route said the new law makes this year's parade more festive -- not a political statement.
