Winter weather advisory in effect for Chicago area | |

February 21, 2013 Don't put those shovels away just yet. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Illinois because of a winter storm working its way north from Kansas. The snowfall is expected to dump between 3 inches and 6 inches of snow in most counties around the Chicago area. The snow is expected to last from 9 p.m. Thursday night until Friday afternoon.
