Wood Dale alderman resigns after city votes down housing foster care teens in senior living center
July 23, 2022 Wood Dale Alderman Sonny Sorrentino announced his intention to resign in the middle of a city council meeting Thursday. The Ward 3 alderman expressed both his displeasure in the council's rejection of a petitioner's request to house foster youth ages 14 to 20 in The Radcliff, a senior living center at 276 E. Irving Park Road, and his earlier recusal from agenda item.
