World War II veterans sought for honor flights to Washington D.C. | |

August 07, 2013 Since its inception six years ago, Honor Flight Chicago has flown about 4,500 World War II veterans to Washington D.C. to see memorials and as a thank you for their service. The flight scheduled from Midway Airport on Wednesday will be the 50th for the privately funded, not-for-profit organization and includes 10 veterans from Lake County.
