Worst winter ever in the suburbs? Not just yet | |

January 29, 2014 Is this the worst winter ever? Not exactly. But it has been the fourth-snowiest month since the National Weather Service began measuring. The frequency of snowfall, and the number of super-cold days, may be making us think it is extra bad. "This is extremely unique as far as weather patterns and anything I've faced in 30 years," Libertyville Public Works Director John Heinz said.
