Zion man sentenced to 30 years in prison for killing 5-month-old baby | |

September 02, 2014 A Zion man who pleaded guilty to murdering a 5-month-old toddler and placing the boy in a refuse container in 2013 was sentenced to 30 years in prison Tuesday. Demetries Thorpe, 27, could have been sentenced to a maximum of 35 years in jail after pleading guilty to firs- degree murder in July.
