Are self-checkout lanes getting bagged? They are at Jewel-Osco | |

September 25, 2013 Itasca-based Jewel-Osco, which was recently acquired by an investment group led by Cerberus Capital Management, has decided to pull the plug on self-checkout. Stores are in the midst of removing self-checkout lanes and will instead add more cashiers to serve customers more one-on-one.
