Colder temperatures, more snow heading this way | |

January 02, 2014 Commuters will need to exercise caution if they travel to some suburbs in Cook and Lake counties Thursday, based on a National Weather Service warning. Weather officials say a lake-effect snow warning will be in effect until 3 p.m, with some areas getting hit at a rate of two inches per hour. The snow squalls are expected to result in highly variable accumulations and nearly zero visibility in some areas, creating hazardous travel conditions.
