CTA driver dozed off at the wheel once before | |

March 26, 2014 The operator of a CTA Blue Line train that smashed into an escalator at the O'Hare station Monday was asleep when the crash happened — the second time she dozed off at the wheel, authorities said. National Transportation Safety Board investigator Ted Turpin confirmed the operator admitted she woke up just before the lead car jumped the platform.
