Elgin looking at regulating ride-shares like Uber | |

November 30, 2014 Elgin will be considering strict regulations for ride-share companies like Uber and others, which would be a first in the suburbs. The city council next week is expected to discuss the regulations for the industry -- which Elgin is dubbing "E-Hail" -- that would mirror insurance and other requirements imposed on taxicab companies.
