Finding the suburban homeless: A night with volunteers | |

February 05, 2015 On a cold, dark night, volunteers -- some of them homeless -- comb the suburbs, looking for homeless people living in makeshift shelters, under overpasses or in their cars. It's all part of a count taken every two years. "We're trying to capture the most vulnerable population, the ones who really don't have any other option," said Anna Lunceford, community liaison with the Alliance to End Homeless in Suburban Cook County.
