Fox Lake to review ‘mistake' in $8,000 storefront facade grant | |

July 12, 2014 Fox Lake officials said they may have mistakenly violated the village's facade improvement ordinance that limits eligible business property owners to one storefront grant each fiscal year, by awarding two grants to an owner who also is a village trustee. "If it's a mistake and he shouldn't have received it, we can fix it," Mayor Donny Schmit said. "We'll do what's right if he's not entitled to it."
