October 23, 2014 Island Lake Police Officer Gilbert Hueramo is a walking medicine chest. On Oct 16, he got a chance to put the equipment and his training to use as he and fellow Officer Victoria Gwizdak helped save the lives of two wounded deputies in Holiday Hills. "The most important thing is, whether it's a police officer or a civilian who is wounded, you've gotta stop the bleeding and get them out to a trauma center," Hueramo said.
