October 20, 2012 A few dozen suburban men were among the roughly 5,000 Boy Scout officials in the U.S. who were barred from Scouting between 1959 and 1985 because they were either suspected of or charged with sexually abusing boys under their supervision. The Daily Herald followed up on local cases among the documents released Thursday by the Boy Scouts of America and published by the Los Angeles Times.
