Rose needs surgery for cartilage tear

An MRI exam revealed a medial meniscus tear in Derrick Rose's right knee. Surgery is required and Rose is out indefinitely. The cartilage injury occurred in the third quarter of Friday's loss to Portland. How bad is it? Well, it's definitely better than the torn ACL in his left knee that kept Rose out of action all of last season. Mike McGraw looks at the range of possibilities.
