December 20, 2019 Archdiocese of Chicago officials say they've learned a nonprofit organization removed a statue that honored the Rev. John P. Smyth from a visible spot where it stood for about 23 years in honor of his work with children at Maryville Academy in Des Plaines and want it returned.
