The Growing Interest Of Wearable Technology at Wearable Computing Conference 2013

July 11, 2013

Building off of the momentum of past conferences, Golden Networking will bring Wearable Computing Conference 2013, "Revolutionizing the Human Experience Through Next-Generation Technology", to New York on September 25.

According to Jennifer Booton at FOX Business, the fast development of high-tech wearable products like Google Glass provoke people's interest and their purchasing desire. More and more large-scale companies, from Apple to Samsung, invest in wearable technology. Analysts predict a rally in the new mobile device category is around the corner as demand grows.

As we know, several companies have expressed interest in designing wearable technology. Google, for one, has thousands of people testing its Google Glass smart headwear. Meanwhile, the electronic giants Dell, Samsung and Acer, claim to be developing wearable gadgets in order to deal with declining sales of their traditional products. However, while Google Glass will be brought to market soon, most companies are still in development and stuck in testing period as exorbitant amounts of money are spent on this next-generation technology.

On the other hand, there is no doubt that the wearable technology is a robust, flexible display market, which IHS predicts will reach nearly 800 million unit shipments by 2020 from just 3.2 million in this year. The projected increase in volume explains why a rising number of companies are trying to get involved in it in spite of excessive expense.

The technology of the future is here, with the production of a new generation of technologies that will allow users to interact with computing devices that are worn by the bearer under, with, or on top of clothing. The introduction of smart watches and glasses bring upon economic, social and personal effects that will revolutionize the human experience. These technologies will be debated at Golden Networking's Wearable Computing Conference 2013 (http://www.wearable-computing-conference.com), "Revolutionizing the Human Experience Through Next-Generation Technology", to be held in New York City, on September 25.

Wearable Computing Conference 2013 is produced by Golden Networking (http://www.goldennetworking.net), the premier networking community for business and technology executives, entrepreneurs and investors. Panelists, speakers and sponsors are invited to contact Golden Networking by sending an email to information@goldennetworking.net.
