Wind to remain through 3 p.m. today, NWS predicts | |

February 21, 2014 Swirling winds caused some minor damages overnight, but officials from the National Weather Service said the winds will only linger until about 3 p.m. this afternoon, which could cause some hazardous commutes Friday. In the meantime, traffic is horrendous in the Chicago area counties due to slick roads. Officials from the National Weather Service said a low pressure system will continue into this evening, causing winds to remain gusty for all of Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana into this afternoon.
